In the morning, hike around 2-3 hours exploring villages, soaking in the fresh air and the simplicity of rural Nepalese life. The trail first leads to Oakhle where you encounter traditional houses, witness daily agricultural activities, and experience the warm hospitality of the villagers. The surrounding landscapes, adorned with terraced fields and mountainous vistas, offer a picturesque backdrop to the tranquil village life, providing a unique insight into the harmonious coexistence of nature and community. Continuing the journey towards Kalleri, the trail unfolds scenic paths and a distinct charm. The journey extends to Lhakanbari, where rugged landscapes and ancient monasteries adds another layer to this remote Himalayan region. The final stop for the day, Kamalbari, offers a culmination of the trek, surrounded by breath-taking mountain views and providing a comprehensive glimpse into the daily routines, cultural traditions, and unique aspects that characterise life in this enchanting part of Nepal. Before making our way back to the lodge for lunch, stop at one of these villages for tea.
Arrive in Bandipur in the late morning and set off on a scenic 3 to 4-hour hike through shady forests, terraced fields, and quaint hamlets, with plenty of stops along the way for photos and warm village interaction, before reaching Ghamalchhap, a tranquil Gurung village perched on a ridge with sweeping views of the Himalayan range. Here, amid untouched nature, you'll settle into The Mountain Lodge, a rustic yet comfortable hilltop retreat.
After an early breakfast, descend the hillside on a scenic 2.5 to 3.5-hour hike down to The Seti Camp, a rural heritage retreat where you can freshen up and enjoy a well-earned lunch. In the afternoon, trade your hiking boots for a life jacket and set off on a gentle 1.5 to 2-hour rafting adventure down the Seti River — a fun, family-friendly float through dramatic gorges, past white sandy beaches and lush greenery, all under the care of experienced rafting guides. Once you reach the exit point at Gaighat, settle into a private vehicle for drive back to Kathmandu or Chitwan.
